Flora London Marathon 2009 · 26 April 2009 ·

Thousands of British citizens are imprisoned overseas, often in harsh conditions. Prisoners Abroad provides life-saving support, including food, medical care and emotional help, and assists people and families rebuild their lives after release and return to the UK.

Story

Well I did it. Fantastic day, great weather (for supporters!), lots of friends and family to cheer me on and lots of generous donations received. Managed to keep my lucky streak of ‘under 3’ runs going, 2.58 this time. No sign of Elvis but Santa was too fast for me!

Prisoners Abroad is a lifeline for those Britons detained overseas and their families in the UK, providing for their practical and emotional needs and campaigning to promote their human rights.

Prisoners Abroad makes no moral judgment about its clients, helping convicted and unconvicted, guilty or innocent, solely on the basis of need.

Times at tough at the moment but any donation you can afford will be much appreciated. And if you’re a UK taxpayer, 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

Thanks for visiting this page and your support.
