Just after completing the London Marathon in April 2019, I was approached by another competitor who asked if I ever considered being a race guide for a visually impaired runner. At the time I considered my one year's mid-life crisis of couch to marathon to be over, but the suggestion got me thinking! Why was I targeted for such a responsibility? The answer came back that I was perfect for the role because it seems, while running, I never stop talking...

I met David in May 2019 and he has a dream to run a half marathon within the year. We are entered in the Hampton Court Palace Half Marathon scheduled for March 2020 and along this journey we will be raising money for Dorset Blind Association a charity so very close to David's heart.
