The ability to get around is vital in order to live a full life yet thousands of people with sight loss never leave home alone. We empower visually impaired people to do that and rely on the support of the public to fund the guide dog service.

Story

David Edwards (July 13, 1951 - October 15, 2022) was a proud Scotsman, husband, father, grandfather and friend to many who started to lose his sight over 30 years ago. He was also a runner...

Despite his disability David was a veteran of over 200 parkruns and competed in events such as The Virtual London Marathon and Great South Run with his guides, John Baker and Cliffe Tribe.

He was an avid campaigner for the Guide Dogs Charity and will be remembered for his loyalty, spirit, generosity and courage.

The challenge on November 20, 2022 at the Wimborne 10, a ten mile road race, will involve Cliffe being fully blindfolded and guided by John in tribute and in memory to a great friend and running companion.
