Chance UK supports young children (5-13 years) who struggle with their emotions and behaviours. With one-to-one mentoring and family support, children are empowered to grow their confidence and resilience, so they can build brighter futures for themselves.

Story

Thanks for visiting my page. I'm running the Wolverhampton Marathon on September 6th, 2009.

I was hoping to raise some money for Chance UK to keep me going when legs get tired and head goes spinning.

Chance UK arrange for adults to mentor children aged 5-11. The idea being that at the end of a year of playing football, squash, boule, and Connect4 the mentee might be ready to step away from some of the problems they had previously.

I was a mentor last year and found it really rewarding - I think my mentee did too. I'm about to start again and Chance will need some cash to pay for me and my mentee's train fares, court hire and, possibly, paint-brushes.

Any contributions appreciated, and anyone volunteering for Chance UK would be welcomed too.

Thanks - David
