Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page for Prospect Hospice in memory of my sister, Debbie. She passed away in April 2009 due to cancer and prior to that spent many weeks in the caring hands of Prospect Hospice, Swindon. During that time their caring, kindness and support to Debbie and all her family made a very difficult situation more bearable. For that I am deeply grateful.
On the 31st August 2012 Janina & I with be competing in the Ultra Trail CCC (Courmayeur, Champex, Chamonix), a semi self-sufficient race of 100km (62.1 mile) with 5,950m+ (19,521ft+) of ascent (over 5x the height of Mount Snowdon). It is described as a race deep in the wilderness of Italy, Switzerland and France with numerous high altitude passes (>2,500m) in difficult weather conditions (night, wind, cold, rain or snow), that requires exceptional training and a real capacity for self-reliance.
