Every working day in the UK two construction workers take their own life. We are the only charity providing emotional, physical and financial support to the construction community through our 24/7 Helpline.

Story

UK Mental Health Awareness Week will be the week beginning Monday 9th May and this year the theme is ‘loneliness’.

In recognition of this and in response to the DDC Staff survey, we will be completing a charity event in May. The event will take place on Sunday 15th May. We will be walking the 13 bridges in London. This is a relaxed route of about 10 miles.

We will be completing this event in aid of the Lighthouse Charity.

The Lighthouse Charity are the only charity that provides mental, physical and financial wellbeing support to the construction community and their families. They provide a 24/7 Construction Industry Helpline which provides free and confidential support services and this is complemented by their free Construction Industry Helpline App which offers expert guidance on a huge variety of wellbeing issues. They also offer free mental health and wellbeing training for the construction community.
