Neolithic Marathon 2015 · 3 May 2015 ·

Wiltshire has some of the most wildlife-rich places in the UK, and Wiltshire Wildlife Trust needs your help to make sure it stays that way. Together we can protect, conserve and enhance this wonderful county in which we live, work and play not just for wildlife but for people too.

Story

This for me is a massive personal goal and something I didn't think I'd ever do again! As most of you know I ran London in 2009 as my first ever marathon and then in March 2010 I was taken critically ill. After recovering from pneumonia and myocarditis I wanted to run again and did so with help from physio, running club and rehab. I suffered with heart failure for a around year before making a full recovery. Told I'd probably never run a marathon again or much more than 5 miles, in the last 5 years I've been determined to run and last year I completed my first full half marathon in 4 years and 30 miles at endure 24 ready for my marathon goal. Choosing a trail marathon so being slower won't matter! But no seriously I just love to run and as part of my marathon they have asked us to try and raise £50 and as I love the outdoors and wildlife, I thought some of you lovely people might like to sponsor a nutter on achieving her goal and help a good cause at the same time! Many thanks 😃 Davina x
