Hindu Society Walk 2023
Campaign by Hindu Society (RCN 265903)
Our 2nd annual walk around Battersea Park to raise funds for Hindu Society services; offering a sanctum for our elderly and youth communities with senior citizen lunch clubs, performance dance and cultural classes and much more.

Story

My sister, mum, aunt and I will be doing a sponsored 10k walk on 4th June around Battersea Park to raise money for the Hindu Society. This charity is dear to our hearts. My family has attended the Society all my life. I have fond memories of my sisters and I attending Hindi school when we were younger. The Society gives my parents and aunt much joy during their retirement. It's a place where you'd often see my mum singing her bhajans and playing the harmonium for all to enjoy. I know how much my parents missed this during the pandemic. The Society hasn't been able to afford to run the same level of services since covid and the money raised with the walk will really help the charity to get back on track. I'd be eternally grateful if you'd sponsor my family and I for this great cause.
