Raising money for a Masjid in Sierra Leone · 24 April 2020

Ummah Welfare Trust was founded to challenge the huge poverty and injustice prevalent in the Ummah today. Inspired by the Islamic teachings of empathy and selflessness, the charity strives to support and uplift the impoverished through the beautiful act of charity.

Story

Bismillah

Roughly two years ago we launched an appeal to raise funds for a Masjid As-Sabiqoon in Afghanistan and Alhamdulillah that Masjid project was successfully completed and is now active with 5 daily Salah, Jumuah, Daily Madrasah, Taraweeh etc

This has now become a major source of Sadaqatul Jaariyah for all those that particpated in this

This year we decided to follow this up with another Masjid after hearing of the plight of Muslims in Sierra Leone.

Unfortunately, they have been subjected to efforts from organisations to se their vulnerability to take away their Imaan, their is a serious threat of hundreds and thousands of people losing Imaan and our aim is to provide a Masjid that can become a hub to consolidate and strenghten their Imaan and the Imaan of their progeny and be a centre of Dawah.
