Story
Just a short piece to let everyone know why i am taking part in the norwich 100mile cycle ride.
I am riding in memory of our friend Russell he was a main participant in our cycling group of four. Russell had completed the Norwich 50 a number of times and earlier in 2012 had completed the Norwich 100 raising money for the British Heart Foundation
Sadly Russell died suddenly of a Coronary Artery Aneurism on 11.11.2012 aged 56. Russell also had Ischaemic heart disease. Russell wasn’t aware that he had a growing aneurism or indeed heart disease although he had had some mild symptoms before his untimely death.
Russell had a natural belief in right and wrong and inspired many people in his honest, hardworking, genuine approach to life. Four of us are riding the 2013 Norwich 100 on the 1st June, in Russell’s memory with the aim of raising as much money as we can for the BHF. We feel that Russell’s case demonstrates that heart disease can affect the healthiest people and that all of us can learn from this experience.
