Why I chose to name my page "MY LIFE"

I wanted to do something during my precious life that would make a real difference to other peoples lives who are terminally ill...................right to the end.

Having recently lost my very dear Mum and experiencing her last precious moments at the Martlets Hospice, It became very clear to me that this really was a special place.

Not to be feared, but to be embraced by all of our family and friends who along with Mum, were treated with kindness, dignity and respect by people whom I could only describe as.........."Angels".      

I am at an age now where I along with many of my friends, are experiencing the loss of not just members of our family, but precious friends too.

It is sadly part of lifes journey and something we must face and try not to fear.   We must make the most of our lives and look after each other and do what ever it takes to make every moment matter. Because it really does...................right to the end.

That is why I decided to create a a group name in memory of my Mum, that would connect to each of us.............................................

I started making a difference on 5th May 2012 organising a Charity Ball in memory of Mum and everyone's friends and family lost, and it was named "MY LIFE" .  Local people and business's donated for the auction &  Musicians and dancers came together to perform for free for our special cause "The Martlets Hospice". Together we raise over £9000 !

But this is just the start of the "MY LIFE" story...........watch this space for more fundraising events.
