Last year i started running for the first time.  I took part in the Race for life and helped raise money for that.  It also gave me the kick i needed to get fitter and lose weight.  For a non-runner like my doing a 5k was a challenge and my goal was to actually run all the way around not walk.  I managed it although slowly.

This year my challenge to keep running is to take part in a 10k event.

My father suffer's from Alzheimer's and so as a consequence does my mum and my family.  For those of you who also live withis terrible disease you will know how awful, frightening, heartbreaking  and lonely this can be.  SO my goal this year is to raise funds for the Alzheimer's Society who work so hard to help us tackling this awful illness and supporting those who need it most.

Any pennies you can spare will be so gratefully received especially in these diffult times where everyone is struggling.  The society will make very good use of it.
