David Clarkson's skydive for Bluebell Wood Children's Hospice

Skydive · 12 July 2015
I will be skydiving from a height of 15,000ft to raise money for local charity Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice.
Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice offers care and support to children with a shortened life expectancy, both in their own homes and at their hospice in North Anston.
To provide the region with its vital services, it can cost the charity upwards of £3million per year, so any money raised through sponsored challenges such as this is vital.
I decided to tackle a tandem skydive after a visit to the hospice during Sheffield United’s Christmas community visit day inspired me to fundraise for the charity.
Being a part of that day really opened my eyes to the wonderful work that Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice do.
I was overwhelmed by the both bravery of the children and their families and the hard work and dedication of the staff, so I wanted to support them in any way possible.
Taking on a skydive is going to be a challenge as I’m not too fond of heights, but I hope to raise more than £5,000 by doing this and I hope that can go some way to helping such a worthy cause.
The event will take place at Hibaldstow Airfield in Lincolnshire on July 12.
Please give generously.
Kind regards,
David Clarkson
