Text  EIDN66  £1/£2/£3/£5/£10 to 70070

Eiden is a small little man with a big personality. At 7 years old he is only 85cm tall and 12.1kg. This is average for an 18mth old.
He has complex medical issues that are  life limiting and life threatening and severe learning disabilities, which requires 1:1 awake Care 24/7.
His primary diagnosis is a Galactosyltransferase 1 deficiency which is so rare he is considered 1 in a billion. He also has poor sight, tube fed into his stomach, sensory processing disorder and many other complex needs which can affect every day life

So why are we fundraising?
Due to Eiden’s brittle bones and having a house with very steep narrow stairs social services and the local CCG deemed it unsafe for him to use his bedroom. He has slept on an inflatable mattress in my lounge for not far of 6 years. This has had a major impact on family life.
During that time we have been working with the council to assist with adaptations using a Disabled Facility Grant (DFG). The house is not the best suited house to adapt.

It has been agreed to turn the conservatory into a room for Eiden. The room itself will just be a basic structure and it’s not very big. Once we get in a SN bed (OT instruction) There is no room for furniture, larger medical equipment.  The space allotted by the council will not have enough room for playing so the cheapest option to allow Eiden to have his own space is to build a summer house at the end of the garden, to allow for sensory play as he won't get this in his own room due to the size.

To give Eiden the safe space he needs and deserve we are going to have to fundraise for this.
