In 2012 my life changed when my Dad suddenly passed away - since then I’ve dedicated my life to being a better person and being someone he can be proud of.
I have previously raised money for charity doing Olympic distance triathlons but this and next year I am doing my biggest challenge yet.
I’m going to do a half Ironman in Denmark in June 2018 and then a full Ironman Triathlon in 2019.
The half Ironman is a 1.9km open water swim, 90km cycle then a half marathon - 21km, all in a row without stopping.
The full Ironman is 3.8km swim, 180km cycle and a full marathon - 42km, all in a row without stopping with a cut off time of 17 hours.
I’m going to push my body to the limits over the next year and a half to ensure I can not only finish these events but get the best times I possibly can.
I used to be 5 stone overweight, smoke and had a problem with alcohol and never exercised. I’m out to show if I can go from that to Ironman, anyone can do anything!
I’m raining money for the British heart foundation which is because of my dads passing and would mean a great deal to me to raise money for this amazing cause.
