"Velocity 2": Zip It to Stop MS · 6 June 2020 ·

Over 150,000 of us in the UK have MS. It’s unpredictable and different for everyone. But it doesn’t have to be this way. We’re the MS Society. We understand what life’s like with MS. We're here for you through the highs, lows and everything in between. Together, we are strong enough to stop MS.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I have created it on behalf of my dad, David Christopher Hardman who will be completing the zipwire run. Here is his story.

On 6th June 2020, I will be zipping down Velocity 2 - The world's fastest Zipwire!

"Why are you doing this crazy thing?!"

"Doesn't that go at over 100mph?"

"Isn't it 500 feet up?"

Yes to the last two.

As for question one, I have decided to do this to raise funds for the MS Society because I believe that they do a lot of good work and would like to help them continue this. And thought, why not scare myself witless for charity?!

As for the more personal element, one of my closest friends has, in recent years, been diagnosed with MS. I hate seeing what having MS has done to him, and would like to help generate funds to keep them researching more into MS, so that in the future, there will be less people having to live with it and more ways to #StopMS

Doing this will be exhilarating and maybe one of the craziest things I have ever done, but I am really looking forward to it, and would love to have you all along for the ride!
