Story

Hello

I completed the NYC Marathon in 5h6m12s.  Not an amazing time but my first one so happy I completed.  Unfortunaly I think I might have caught the Marathon bug though and will now be running in the Berln Marathon in 2010,  that will be two out of the 5 World Series marathons complete.  Check out my blog below for sponsorship link :-)

Hi

Hot off the heels (as it were) of me doing the Reading Half Marathon,   I have now set myself the challenge of doing a Marathon.  I am registered for the ING New York Marathon on November 1st.

I have created a running blog on http://sparkydblog.spaces.live.com/ which in return for your donation I promise to keep up to date so you can revel in the discomfort I will be putting myself through in preparation.  Its around 776 miles between May and October/November which combined with the 300 miles clocked up so far this year should see me reaching 1000 miles by race day.

I have picked Yorkshire Cancer Research as the funding will go towards finding a cure for a disease that has affected not only my family a number of times but also more recently close friends.

Dig deep and thank you in advance!
