At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

Both our mothers, following the death of our fathers from Cancer have been diagnosed with Dementia/Alzheimer's. Even though we were aware of this disease before, had seen films, documentaries and had read books, we did not realise how devastating and soul destroying this disease was.

This year we are dedicating our annual C2C ride across the UK ( 150 mile cycle ride from Whitehaven in Cumbria, to South Shields on the North East coast, climbing the heights of the Lake District and the Pennines along the way) to both Macmillan Cancer Support and Alzheimer's Society.

These charities rely on our and your support in order to continue the help they offer to sufferers and their families and for important research. Please contribute by donating anything you can, however small, it all helps.

Alzheimer’s Society is transforming the landscape of dementia forever. Until the day we find a cure, we will create a society where those affected by dementia are supported and accepted, able to live in their community without fear or prejudice.
