We’re the UK’s leading bowel cancer charity. We’re determined to save lives and improve the quality of life of everyone affected by bowel cancer. Our vision is a future where nobody dies of the disease.

Story

In February 2013 my dad Paul Crozier was diagnosed with bowel cancer. Shortly after this he had a successful operation carried out to remove some of the cancer from his bowel but the cancer had spread to the lymph nodes into his neck. After several months of chemotherapy and radium treatments he held on until all his family and friends had visited him in the Marie Curie hospice in Newcastle, where he passed away on the 28th March 2014. One thing he did before he passed away was to randomly sing the Blaydon race song so we thought what better way to pay tribute to the best dad and husband, than by competing in this years Blaydon race.
