I'm more of an occasional 5k park jogger than a real "runner" but do appreciate the buzz or health and well being benefits you get from a good run.  A half marathon (if I make it) will be the furthest I've ever run in one go so I really needed a little extra incentive to enter! Introducing Larne's finest, Bridget and Harry Hardy who I like to consider my adopted Grandparents.  I have fond memories of Bridget and Harry who helped to look after me and my older Larne born siblings as my parents worked. Bridget and Harry were salt of the earth kind of people, the kind of people who told it like it is. The kind of people we need more of in this increasingly superficial world we live in. In her later years Bridget apparently really appreciated the day trips organised by Larne Age Concern as it was back then. That's why I'm running in Bridget and Harry's memory so that Age NI can continue to provide vital services for the growing older population throughout NI.
