Story
Well, what do you make of this - Dean is 50 this year (yikes!) and Chloe is 20 (even bigger yikes!) and so have decided to do a dad and daughter challenge.
We are running to raise money for YMCA North Tyneside and in particular its Supported Accommodation project - a very worthy cause. The project currently house 36 vulnerable young people aged 16-25 who have either experienced homelessness or are considered at risk of homelessness. They can stay with the YMCA for up to 2 years while they receive vital support, training, education and a safe place where they can call home. YMCA very much becomes their family and the money raised helps YMCA to transform the lives of the young people it supports every single day.
PLEASE, PLEASE consider supporting this worthwhile fundraising challenge.
This is Dean's fifth GNR and he vowed never to do it again after the last one. However, the honour of running with Chloe on her first ever GNR and half marathon (and yes the run takes place on the day of her 20th birthday - dedication and commitment) was far too good to turn down.
We are both working hard in training as running doesn't come naturally to either of us, so please consider supporting us as we put in the miles and look towards September 8th. Any donation is very much appreciated.
Thank you,
Dean & Chloe
