Story
At the end of this month, I’ll be travelling across Syria 🇸🇾 with a charity team to support families and communities still suffering from the effects of more than a decade of war.
Over the course of the trip we’ll be visiting areas including Aleppo, Idlib, Homs and Damascus, meeting families directly affected by the conflict, many of whom have only recently returned from refugee camps in Lebanon and neighbouring regions.
This is a cause that’s become very close to my heart. Last year I spent time around the Syrian border and refugee camps in northern Lebanon, where I saw firsthand the reality many families are still living through. It’s difficult to describe properly until you witness it yourself. Children growing up without stability, damaged homes, limited access to education, healthcare and basic daily necessities. Even years later, the impact of the war is still everywhere.
This time, I’ll be spending a full week inside Syria working directly on the ground. Alongside emergency aid and food distribution, we’ll also be supporting longer term projects focused on rebuilding communities, schools and sustainable support for vulnerable families.
Every donation, no matter how big or small, genuinely makes a difference. One thing that’s really important to me is transparency, so I’ll be documenting the trip throughout on WhatsApp and Instagram so people can see exactly where the money is going and the impact it’s having on the ground.
I know times are difficult for many people, so even sharing the page or making dua for the people of Syria means a lot.
Thank you everyone ❤️
