Anyone who knows me well knows that I have not been the most active of people over the past 5 or 6 years, I have a very demanding job and have moved about quite a lot which makes this task all the more challenging. Every donation gives me that little bit more motivation, so please be generous!
Marie Curie is a great cause and I have had the opportunity to see the great work they do first hand. Our donations are so important in ensuring that patients and their families are well looked after in a situation I hope none of you ever have to encounter.
Being my employers charity of choice this year, they will be matching my donations, whatever you choose to donate is worth double to the charity!
£20 covers 1 hour of care for a terminally ill patient and provides £5 of capital for Marie Curie to invest in securing future income for the charity.
Put that into perspective... if every person in the UK donated just £20 per year, that would provide 12 hours of care each day for 150,000 people, just short of the amount of people who passed away from terminal cancer last year.
