Each year First Personnel makes a sizable charitable donation to local good causes. As a responsible employer in our local communities, putting something back into society has been of the utmost importance in terms of both time and money. First Personnel has contributed in excess of £1million to a variety of good causes over the years, including regularly supporting the Variety Club of Great Britain, Acorns Children’s Hospice and Local Children Hospitals including the building and maintenance of the soft children’s play area at Worcester Royal Hospital. http://jobsatfirst.com/charity.php). Our staff members regularly give up their time voluntarily to marshal charitable events such as the Acorns Birmingham Midnight walk or can be found abseiling down local buildings.

This brings me onto the London Marathon and my participation? First Personnel have kindly donated £10, 000 to “The Gentlemen’s Night Out” (GNO) for me to have the privilege to run in this year’s event, for which I am very proud to be able to contribute personally.

So why GNO. Well predominantly they are Midlands based, with all funds provided actually going to those who need it most, without any deductions for administration or other overheads.
