October 1st Until Halloween Spooky Stopovers · 1 October 2017

Following the horrific murder of Sophie Lancaster, her family wanted to ensure a lasting legacy to their beautiful, bright creative daughter and so The Sophie Lancaster Foundation was established and it became a registered charity in 2009. We do this through various means including education.

Story

In the run-up to Halloween, PR guru Dean 'Midas' Maynard is raising funds for The Sophie Lancaster Foundation, by visiting as many haunted North East venues as he can...and it all starts on October 1st.

Dean, alongside his team & some celebrity special guests, are staying in as many haunted venues as they can before Halloween.

Dean said "We want to raise as much money as possible, for this very worthy cause, so if you can afford it, please help us and donate"

Team Midas boss Dean, is known as the man with the ‘Midas Touch’. In the past 24 months, he has promoted and championed eight straight Reality TV finalists, including X Factor winners, Ben Haenow & Louisa Johnson. He is a triple award-winning film producer and Head of PR at Willington AFC & Willington Cricket Club.

He is also the Media Officer for Newcastle United Women FC

Dean is still looking for more 'spooky' North East venues, if you can help please contact him via www.deanmidasmaynard.com

On 11th August 2007, Sophie Lancaster and her boyfriend were kicked,
stamped on and left unconscious, for nothing more than looking different.

Sophie later died from her injuries.

She was just 20 years old.
