We raise literacy achievement to improve the life chances of children

Story

This April, I will be extremely busy running, not one, but two marathons on behalf of the Centre for Literacy in Primary Education. As a primary school teacher, this is a charity very close to my heart, as the CLPE supports me and my colleagues as we promote the best possible Literacy outcomes for children every single day.

Established in 1972, the CLPE is an educational centre that helps teachers, parents and all other educators raise the achievement of all children, of all backgrounds through research and professional development. By helping schools to teach literacy creatively and effectively, they are helping a new generation become readers and writers.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read this and every donation, however small, will go towards drastically improving children's life chances across the country by installing a love of reading!

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
