Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I'm walking the Pennine Way in 2019 as a personal challenge, one I had decided to do alone after a failed attempt in 2013. That failure affected me in more ways than I realised at the time, my mental health and confidence suffered as a result. I am lucky that I haven't suffered seriously with my mental health but I have people close to me that have. It's a serious issue in our society and the charity Mind offer vital services to help people with many aspects of mental health.

I hadn't initially set out to walk this route for charity, in my daily videos I opened up about my struggle to overcome feelings of failure due to my last attempt. I've had numerous private messages suggesting I should raise money along the way so here goes....

No pressure....

Any donation no matter have large or small would be greatly appreciated. It means a lot to me that people are following my adventure and are behind me 100% encouraging me to reach my goal. I know there are others out there who need support to just get out of the house each day and it's those people I'd like to be able to help

Keep up to date with the progress of my hike at http://www.YouTube.com/DeanRead
