Story
I'm taking on 100 miles (on top of my usual aim of a minimum of 3 miles a day) to transform the future of pancreatic cancer. Rounded up, that's 225 miles in 30 days, whilst spending my 9-5 sat at a desk.👟
As many of you know, I lost my husband Jeff to pancreatic cancer. He was diagnosed 6 weeks before our wedding and lost his battle 7 months later. He was 37. In the 19.5 years since Jeff died, prognosis hasn't improved much and so much more research is needed.
Pancreatic cancer is the deadliest common cancer. Half of people with the disease die within three months of diagnosis. With research underfunded and left behind, people are left with only hope to hold onto. That’s why we really need your support this November during Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month. Donate now and you could help put a test in the hands of every GP 💜Together, we can raise awareness of the disease and the signs and symptoms, so that people can get a crucial diagnosis, sooner. Just £29 could fund further research to improve the speed of diagnosis. £212 could allow researchers to study 13 patient samples to learn more about the genetic changes that make people more likely to develop pancreatic cancer.Thank you so much for your support! 🙏
