OCD Action's vision is of a society where Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) is better understood and diagnosed quickly, where appropriate treatment options are open and accessible, where support and information are readily available and where nobody feels ashamed to ask for help.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Five years ago our family was devastated by Lauren's diagnosis of severe Obsessive Compulsive Disorder and subsequent hospitalisation. Now I facilitate a support group for those families affected by this misunderstood and debilitating illness so I have had a taste of just how many people there are who seek help for the crisis in which they find themselves. OCD affects everyone involved with the person who has the disorder and support given through this amazing charity is often the only lifeline for those who are faced with securing treatment, supporting daily living and preventing relapse for their loved ones. The money raised goes towards manning emergency helplines, setting up and maintaining support groups and providing advocacy services for those whose life is limited by OCD.  Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
