Story
On the 23rd January I went for a routine mammogram that I was privately funding. I truly had no idea I had an any issues and was just ensuring I had a check due to family history. A lump was discovered that I had not felt myself and later that day I was diagnosed with breast cancer. Fortunately for me its looking like it didn't get a chance to spread and so when my treatment is over my prognosis is as good as it can be.
I have heard many girlfriends say that they would be frightened of getting checked in case of hearing bad news.
Let me tell you this .... nothing can prepare you for this kind of bad news, however being told its unlikely to have spread and that you have plenty of options is a lot less frightening than being told it could have spread and your options are limited.
For that reason alone NEVER BE FRIGHTENED, NEVER BE EMBARRASSED, NEVER THINK YOU ARE WASTING YOUR DOCTORS TIME, NEVER THINK IT WILL NEVER BE YOU. JUST BE THOROUGH AND RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR OWN HEALTH AND WELLBEING.
Please check your breasts thoroughly and if you are in any doubt ask your doctor to do a manual check. Please donate just £5 to my page and send a message to me to confirm you have done a thorough breast check either yourself or by your doctor.
THAT IS ALL
THANK YOU
