I work for Pops (Partners of Prisoners and Families Support Group), and I'm based at HMP Risley. Not many of you will know the stress that children go through when a loved one goes into prison. It can turn their little worlds upside down. As adults we can understand the legal system, but all a young child may understand is that their father, brother, uncle, grandfather, has been taken away from their family.

At POPS visitor centres we have play areas within the visits hall for children aged 2 to 12. Donations from the public help to enhance these areas providing additional toys and activities. We would love to purchase some new equipment and so I have decided to do The Colour Run in London on the 1st June this year. I'm not much of a runner but will complete the course by any way possible! lol.
