This is the sixth year for St James's Piccadilly being part of the winter night shelter in Westminster.  We are one of 14 venues hosting guests from October to May - all run by volunteers, dozens of us.  The West London DAy Centre does an amazing and costly job supporting us, referring guests to us each night; helping us with training and advice. They also provide a coordinator to oversee all the work which is a huge task over the eight months, being on call 24 hrs a day for each shelter in turn.  We are raising the funds to pay for this post through the winter months so that our guests have the best support, a safe and cared for experience; be helped to move on to accommodation and work and we can always have someone we can contact at any time.
