I am hoping to raise funds for the MS trust to train up an MS nurse who can make a huge difference to support for those with MS. 

The MS trust is totally funded by donations although the NHS will take over the costs of MS specialist nurses once they are trained.

As a usually hidden illness most people have little or no knowledge of the disease unless it impacts their lives but its effects although not obvious can be life changing not least because so many develop MS in their 20/30's and its an illness that progresses albeit at different rates for many. 

As someone who has been diagnosed later in life with this illness I know how shocking such news can be. The NHS is under constant strain and things move very slowly in the Neurological world of MS. Having access to a nurse who can free up medical staff is a bonus not just for the MS patients but also for the NHS itself. 

I will be running 25k in a month starting from 22nd of July which for someone who only started running a few months ago and who has wobbly legs is a challenge that I hope does justice to the charity I am fundraising for.
