Hi
Firstly please don't be sad reading this, my Dad was the happiest person I ever met and he would hate people feeling down.
On 5th January my Mum, my Sister and I were devastated when my lovely Dad had a stroke, and died shortly after.
Every year there are approximately 152,000 strokes in the UK ... that's a surprising large amount isn't it?.. That's one stroke in every three and a half minutes... and it can happen to someone suddenly.. ....really suddenly.
My Dad was a proper gentleman, a dapper dresser, affectionately nicknamed by his son-in-laws as the Don Corleone of the North West. He was my tickler, my fixer upper, my financial adviser, my mind of information, my confidant, my singer of silly songs (Spike Milligan), my mate... and he had the biggest smile !..... I miss him so much.
So I'm doing the only thing I can do ...(half decently) which is to run .. run... and run a bit more (with my sister Jackie) to raise some cash for the Stroke Association, to help them educate people and help other families devastated by Stroke.
