Story

Just to let you all know that I did it and didn't pull up lame!  My time was 2hrs 16 which was reasonable.

I owe a big thank you to my physio (Carol Thompson) who strapped my shins up really well and I only had a little pain so was delighted.  The atmosphere was fantastic and it was a great experience running into the Majedski stadium for the finish.

I was proud to run it for my Mum and although a little emotional am delighted to have raised over £3,000 for Macmillan.  I'm currently the second highest fundraiser at the event which is down to the support I have received from everyone.

Those closest to me will know I've been a nightmare worrying about my shin splints so its a huge relief.

For those that still want to donate it is still possible to do so until the 27th April.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Macmillan Cancer Support will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

Thank you also to those that have sponsored me by sponsorship form which include:- Michael Rawson (Allertons), Sandy Patrick, Julia Langton, Keith & Maureen Wood, Ian Willder, Geoff Snook, Tor Sturgis, Pete Ponting, Clive Grabban, Ernie Johnson, Kevin Mooney, Jeremy Gompertz, Maggie Davis, John Grant, Nick Browne, Roger Bracewell, John Blackett, Gill & Frank Woods, Geoffrey Bracewell, Dorothy Ellis, my Dad and my boss Barry Hills.
