After working in the care sector I am well aware of how the elderly can become isolated and feel lonely, especially at Christmas.

'Contact the Elderly' charity solely dedicates to tackling these issues by organising monthly Sunday tea parties for small groups and volunteers within their local community throughout the UK, even Aberdeen. 

Those attending are collected by the same volunteer driver each time, meaning acquaintances become friendships, replacing loneliness with companionship.

I am doing this challenge to raise money for the organisation to ensure that next year we can provide a 5* Christmas dinner with entertainment.

This is not going to be an easy challenge - taking into consideration weather, illness, holidays and injuries - however I will complete this and I'm sure your donations and kind words will keep me motivated!
