We offer care, support and information to anyone affected by breast cancer

Story

On Thursday 3 October I will be modelling in the Breast Cancer Care Show London and it will be my first time ever on a professional catwalk! To say I'm excited is an understatement.
All of the models, like me, have had a diagnosis of breast
cancer. The Show is an amazing occasion of fashion, fundraising and inspiration proving that you can look and feel great after a diagnosis of breast cancer.
Last year’s show was a fantastic event raising over £280,000 and this money made a vital difference to Breast Cancer Care.

The reality is that there are more than half a million people in the UK today who have been diagnosed with breast cancer and every year another 60,000 hear the devastating news that they have the disease. Thanks to the generosity of people like you supporting The Show, Breast Cancer Care is here for every one of them, providing expert information and skilled emotional and practical support when it’s needed most.

£5 could give five people with breast cancer the vital answers they need right now by funding five invaluable information resources.

£10 can pay for 25 cryo tubes – special tubes used to freeze breast cancer cells so that they can be experimented on in the future. This saves our scientists loads of time and money.

£100 could give someone with breast cancer somewhere to turn after their treatment by funding a facilitator on a Moving Forward course for four hours.

£175 could help people with breast cancer to feel more in control by funding a specialist nurse on BCC Helpline for a day.

£500 can buy a kit to extract DNA from 250 tumour samples. This kit provides all the chemicals needed to extract DNA from 250 tumour
samples. Researchers can use this DNA to understand how breast cancer develops and progresses.
