Story

Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

There are two halves to this "fortieth" challenge, or story if you so wish. It all started with a friend who also turned the big 40 and wanted to set herself some challenges, 4 challenges for 4 decades. One of those challenges is to complete a Tough Mudder event, and somehow over a few drinks one evening I found myself saying "yes, I'll do that with you", and Team #444 was born consisting of 5 very brave (or very naive) ladies.  The next half is to do with fundraising which isn't a prerequisite for this event, but as I've not fund raised for a while I decided that this time, I would.

I have therefore decided to raise money for Kings College Hospital Charity in memory of Sally Hergest.

Sally was the wife of Matthew, a work colleague and friend.  Sally sadly passed away after suffering a Subarachnoid haemorrhage (bleeding on the brain) a few weeks after her 40th birthday in February 2014.  The fund in Sally's memory is Kings College Hospital Charity, specifically for the Surgical and Critical Care Unit who cared for Sally.  Funds raised will help give support and guidance to other families with relatives in similar situations to Sally and Matthew.

Thank you for taking the time to read my story, any donation is very much appreciated and if you're wondering what a Tough Mudder event is, take a look at this link

Wish me luck too, eeeek!
