We are an affiliate branch of the national organisation, we have to raise £30000+ to keep our branch open for our volunteers to offer, non judgemental, emotional support to those who are going through a difficult time in their lives with the aim of reducing death by suicide.

March 23rd 2020 I set myself a challenge to keep me focused on something positive throughout the first lockdown. My target was to Walk/Run Lands End to John o Groats 874 miles in 12 months. With the flexibility of working from home and the mental health benefits of exercising everyday I hit that target in January so decided to set a new goal of 1000 miles by 23rd March 2021. I am proud to have completed 800 miles walking and 230 miles running. All the challenge has been recorded on my Garmin app and is measured activities and not my daily steps.

I am fitter than I have been for years and have really enjoyed the challenge but it has been a big commitment.  I have chosen Scarborough Samaritans  to receive any donations, as they provide wonderful advice and support to my community.

If you can spare a couple of quid to help me reach my fundraising total I would be truly grateful.

Thank you for your support. ❤️
