Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I'm running the Leeds 10k with a team of friends in memory of Lukas Proud. Lukas was diagnosed with medullablastoma last year and had to undergo an intense treatment regime including chemo and radiotherapy. For each part of the treatment Lukas received, from an overnight stay in hospital to his radiotherapy sessions, he would receive a 'bead of courage' for him to keep as a sign of the bravery he showed. Lukas loved to receive his beads and would carry each one home in his pocket, which are now proudly displayed at home as a map of his treatment and bravery during this time. The beautiful beads are different shapes and colours and represent specific treatments, including glow in the dark ones for his radiotherapy!
Sadly Lukas lost his battle with this terrible disease, and to keep this charity providing a little ray of sunshine in the lives of children going through the same as Lukas I ask you all to please sponsor me.
