Superheroes from the convenience and wholesale retail sector are taking to their bikes again for MAG raising lifesaving funds to clear more landmines and unexploded bombs. This year they'll cycle in the UK 8 rides, 8 regions, 8 days, £50,000!

Story

Hello there everyone,

I hope that you and your family are keeping safe and well.

Since 2015, 75 UK wholesale, convenience retail, FMCG and service-provider cyclists have raised over £673,000 on five industry bike rides for MAG (Mines Advisory Group), the Manchester based charity, awarded Co-Laureate Nobel Peace Prize for international campaigning to ban landmines.

The rides, in Sri Lanka, Laos, Vietnam and Cambodia, have helped MAG save lives and build safer futures for communities ravaged by the effects of war.

For 2021, the original plan was a ride in Zimbabwe, however, given the current circumstances, this has now been delayed until 2022, and instead rides are being held on home soil here in the UK.

I’ll be taking part in two of the UK rides this year on 9th July in London and on 16th July in Manchester, and I would be so very grateful if you could help support this fantastic charity, if you're able to, by making a donation via this JustGiving page.

Any donation that you’re able to make will be truly appreciated and will help MAG with their mission to provide everyone with the right to live in safety and walk without fear.

Thank you in advance for your support.

Best wishes,

Debbie

About the campaign

Superheroes from the convenience and wholesale retail sector are taking to their bikes again for MAG raising lifesaving funds to clear more landmines and unexploded bombs. This year they'll cycle in the UK 8 rides, 8 regions, 8 days, £50,000!

About the charity

Every single day, 15 people are killed or injured because of landmines and other explosive weapons. Half of all civilian casualties are children. MAG finds and destroys these weapons to save lives and rebuild futures; helping people to grow crops, attend school and build homes.
