Victim Support is an independent charity. We are dedicated to supporting people affected by crime and traumatic incidents in England and Wales and we put them at the heart of our organisation. We provide specialist help and services to support people to cope and recover.

Story

As I’m sure most of you are aware our dear friend Sally Namanga, one of our Deputy Sisters, suffered the devastating loss of her eldest son Daniel in August last year.

Through what has been and continues to be obviously an incredibly heartbreaking time for Sally, Daniel’s brother Jordan, and all their family, they have been supported by the Victim Support charity. An independent charity which specialises in providing support to those affected by crime or traumatic events and who Sally says have been ‘superb in every way and have helped her a great deal’.

A group of us from the GSTT ICU nursing team have decided that we would like to complete a 5km run in Richmond Park on the 21st April to raise money for this charity both in honour of Daniel and to help ensure that other families who may also sadly be in need of this service continue to be similarly supported.
