Thames Path Challenge 100K · 14 September 2013 to 15 September 2013 ·

We aim to never turn away a dog or cat in need of help, caring for them until their owners or loving new homes can be found, no matter how long it takes. We are champions for, and supporters of, vulnerable dogs and cats, determined to create lasting changes for animals in our society.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I hit my 50th birthday on New Years Eve and decided it was time to set myself a challenge that would prove that I'm 50, but not dead.

The Thames Path Challenge is a 100km walk from Putney to Henley-on-Thames, where I spent a lot of my childhood. I love walking, but this is way beyond anything I've attempted before. I'm doing the walk with two old army friends, both of whom hit 50 in the next 6-months.

I am raising money for Battersea Dog and Cat home because of the fabulous work they do in protecting and re-homing our little furry friends. I have a 16-year old Jack Russell, Lydia, and a 14-year old Chihuhua, Betty, who have provided me with loyalty and love since they were wee pups - they both approve my choice of charity

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. So please dig deep and donate now.

Your support is appreciated - thanks
