BUPA Great South Run 2007 · 28 October 2007 ·

Exists to help & support people with PKU, their families & carers. It works closely with medical professionals in the UK. It receives no government funding & is dependent on the generosity of its members & the public to fund practical support, raising awareness & research into the condition.

Story

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. I am running the Great South Run in Portsmouth on 28 October and should be really grateful if you would sponsor me online. As you probably know our daughter Phoebe suffers from the rare metabolic condition PKU, which affects about 1 in 10,000 children. It is an inherited disorder which if not treated would cause brain damage. Fortunately this can be prevented by a special diet. The NSPKU exists to assist parents in managing this highly specialised diet and to promote further research.

Any amount you can donate would be greatly appreciated.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. The National Society for Phenylketonuria (UK) Ltd. will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you. However, if you would prefer to donate by cheque please send me a cheque made payable to  NSPKU.

Many thanks for your support.

Love Deborah
