To those of you that know me, you will know that I've struggled since the loss of my Dad from prostate cancer on New Years Day 2019. 

Never a day goes by when I don't think about him. But as time has gone on I have turned tears and grief into gratitude. Whenever I am faced with day to day challenges I just think of my Dad and the courage he showed throughout his treatment has given me the strength to face this challenge and raise much needed money for The Christie Hospital. The Christie gave incredible care, love and dignity but most of all they gave us hope until the very end, I will be forever grateful. 

Trekking the Sierra Nevada is going to be a tough challenge with its highest peak at 3,482m but this will be nothing compared to the challenge my Dad and some very dear friends have faced in the fight against cancer.
