On 15th Feb 2019 I went for a ride on my moterbike. Whilst waiting at a junction, a car drove into me, knocking me off my bike, leaving me trapped remaining under the car for 25 minutes.
I received life changing injuries; with leg and ankle extremely badly burnt.
I was eventually freed by the fire brigade, and taken quickly by the wonderful Air Ambulance to hospital.
For the last 3 and a half years, I have had many operations, continuous physio, and, the amputation of my leg, that was considered, didn't happen.
I am now up and walking on two legs!
I am raising funds for both the:
Air Ambulance - who rely totally on donations and are not government funded
And
Nottingham City Hospital Burns Unit to buy equipment - they worked so incredibly hard to save my leg
In September 2022 I will be swimming the equivalent length of the English channel. To achieve this, I will need to swim 87 lengths of my local pool every day for three weeks.
I want to thank everyone who has helped and supported my recovery so far.
In anticipation of your generous support, I really want to thank you for your donation, I know it will make a difference.
Thanks Debs xx
