I couldn't quite face another marathon but this new half-marathon event looks 'do-able'. I'll be able to admire the pretty buildings along the way which will take my mind off my creaking knees! 

And it's all for a very good cause.

I don't need to imagine what it's like to have such a desperate life that you would rather be anywhere than at home. My own brother ran away when he was in his teens and slept on the streets. After getting arrested he was fostered by an amazing family who helped him turn his life around. Other kids are not so lucky. The ones who slip through the social care net, or for whatever reason find themselves alone on the streets with no home to go to. 

Thank goodness for charities like Centrepoint. They can't fix everything but their transformational stories are inspiring. Every small amount of your sponsorship will go towards helping to change a life....maybe two or three. You never know. Everyone deserves a chance for something better, don't you think?
