This is Eva, the beautiful and fearless ballet loving 9 year old daughter of my colleague Tori.  3 months ago Eva was sadly diagnosed with Leukaemia - as you can imagine Eva has and continues to go through a really tough time.

Myself and the rest of the Employer Engagement team at West Suffolk College are here for Eva and her family, and we really want to do what little we can and be able to contribute something positive during these challenging times.  

With this in mind we are committing to a years’ worth of fundraising for the great charity – Leukaemia Care

Leukaemia Care not only support patients, but carers and families too who often carry lot of the emotional strain when someone they love is diagnosed with a blood cancer. They focus on the support that is needed now to help those affected by blood cancer
cope during a diagnosis and beyond.

In order to try and raise as much funds as possible different team members are doing different activities, I won’t be doing the London Marathon as the event title suggest , but I will be completing
a Sahara Desert Trek in Nov 21.  My challenge
is to trek for 4 days through the ever changing landscape of the desert and to climb to the top of the Chegaga Dunes.
