Story
I’m chucking the chocolate and going on a DECHOX for the whole of March to help the British Heart Foundation fund its life saving heart research. That means absolutely no chocolate bars, no chocolate cake, no choccy biscuits with my tea, not even any chocolate sprinkles on my cappuccino are allowed. And that’s why I need your help.
In January 2015 my father, John Hearn had a heart attack. We were in a spinning class together (which he attended 3/4 times a week) when the chest pains came on. It was when he walked our burnese mountain dog that the attack happened. With only 6% blood flow to the heart my father survived due to the quick reactions of the South East Ambulance service. He had two stents fitted to his major arteries and has since recovered.
His lifestyle has had to change, and has even gone back to spin class. He has had to give up his sweet tooth - the sweet tooth that I have inherited. So for March to support my father I am giving up chocolate. I love chocolate - but I love my father more
