Story
In May 2007 my Grandad collapsed and passed away because his heart stopped working. We don't really know why, although he'd had some problems with his heart before. The paramedics did their best but nothing could be done. He died at the local Football ground with a pint in his hand so he couldn't have been happier, my last memory of him is him laughing. :)
My Grandad was everything to me, every week took me swimming, to the football and always opened my Jam on a morning even though I woke him up dead early to do it. Perhaps with more research, more knowledge on hearts and what makes them tick (or not) then people like my Grandad can be saved, he might have lived to see me start University. Who knows.
I'm putting my will-power to the test, to give up all things chocolatey for March (which coincides with Lent too) while raising even just a little bit so someone can spend more time with their Grandad, Nanna, Mam, Dad or child,
